OPENING SESSION 7p

9:00a EDUCATION DAY BEGINS.

Dealer rooms, Displays, and Educational areas are open to the general public until 4:00p. Many stations shut down at 2:00p. For the remainder of the conference, these areas are for conference registrants only.

9:00a – 4:30p REGISTRATION

Registration is open- Between visiting dealers, seeing displays and checking in on what the kids are doing at Education Day, swing by the Conference area lobby and register for the full conference. Also, bring your AUCTION ITEMS to the Registration Desk area for cataloguing. Registration is closed during the banquet.

2:30p MAINE MINERAL AND GEM MUSEUM TOUR

(only for registered conference participants)
The tour will begin promptly at 2:30. We appreciate your attention to timely arrival at the museum. A bus to the Museum will leave at 2:15p and return the same riders to the Conference center after the tour. Meet in the circular drive at the lodge entrance. There is limited seating on the bus; once full, you’ll need to take your own transportation.

4:30-6:45p MMGM Mineralogical Heritage Awards

Cash bar and a meet and greet then the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum’s annual buffet banquet begins honoring this year’s inductees.

6:30p – 7:30p REGISTRATION OPEN

7p – 8:30p CONFERENCE OPENING SESSION

New England Mining Update – New England miners Gary Freeman, Jeff Morrison, Gary Howard, Kevin Downey, Bud Poulin, Jim Nizamoff. (Possible participants always subject to change)

8:30p DEALER WING

Open late into the night. Along with other dealers, conference speaker Jeff Sovil will have his traveling studio set up to take specimen photos for a fee. For all at the conference, this is not just about buying; it is a great time to ‘talk rocks’.

8:45p HOSPITALITY ROOMS

Open in the dealer’s wing. Light desserts and beverages.

   The Hospitality Rooms are not open to conference attendees during
   this time period.)
• DEALERS WING is open.
• START OF SILENT AUCTION to benefit the Conference.
   Please feel free to donate mineral items that we can auction.
   (Items should be brought to the Registration Desk by 9am Saturday so there
   is ample time to catalogue, price and display them on the tables.)
