New England Mineral Conference - NEMC

ALL ABOUT NEMC, A DIVISION OF NEMA

The New England Mineral Association (NEMA) exists to further the introduction to, and support of, the fields of mineralogy and geological sciences in New England, through its educational, scientific and recreational divisions.

A group of like-minded mineral miners, collectors, enthusiasts and scientists have collaborated to form NEMA, in order to reach out to everyone in New England (and beyond) who is interested in the mineralogy found in this area of the country. Our goal is to bring everyone together, to share information and knowledge...and to learn from each other in the process. Whether a beginner or a professional, everyone is welcome!

To that end, the non-profit Association has formed the New England Mineral Conference (NEMC) as an annual educational event, where everyone is encouraged to showcase the diverse wealth of New England minerals and those that study, mine and collect them. Our goal is to reach out to all age levels, all expertise, in all categories of the science.

NEMC was born from the void left behind after the regrettable loss of the annual Maine Mineral Symposium (of 22 years) in Augusta, Maine. With their blessings, we are proud to continue their outstanding accomplishments with our own efforts.

We hope you will join us to share information, and to help promote and continue the advancement of the science. We all have something to learn...and something to teach.
